Interleukin 8 in progression of hormone-dependent early breast cancer

摘要: The only way to perceive the real clinical course of disease and prognostic significance potential biomarkers is follow-up patients who did not receive any kind adjuvant therapy. Many studies have confirmed high levels interleukin 8 (IL8) in HER2-enriched basal-like (ER–) primary breast tumours, but less known about IL8 hormone-dependent cancer. aim this study was evaluate clinicopathological parameters cancer, examine possible associations between them that might imply biological dependence. included 91 early-stage cancer with detectable hormone receptors (ER>0, PR>0). None received therapy according valid protocol at time. HER2 status determined on paraffin-embedded tumour tissue sections by CISH. were ELISA cytosol extracts 65 long-term (144 months). Nonparametric statistical tests used for data analyses. Patients low (M<88.8 pg/mg) had significantly longer relapse-free survival (RFS) compared (M≥88.82 (Log rank test, p=0.002). ERhighIL8low phenotype RFS those ERhighIL8high ERlowIL8high phenotypes (p=0.04 p=0.02, respectively); PRlowIL8low PRlowIL8high PRhighIL8high (p=0.003 HER2-IL8low HER2-IL8high HER2+IL8high (p=0.01 respectively). Our results indicate significant contribution association established such as ER/PR HER2.
