摘要: Background:  Previous studies have shown the association between antiphospholipid antibodies with epilepsy but there are no addressing effect of seizure frequency, duration epilepsy, type and aetiology on prevalence these in well-evaluated refractory epilepsy. Methods:  Anticardiolipin, anti-β2-glycoprotein I antinuclear antibody levels were measured 105 patients focal epilepsy. Clinical determinants included patient history, electroclinical classification high resolution brain magnetic resonance imaging. Results:  Patients seizures during month prior to sampling (recent seizures) had increased immunoglobulin (Ig) G class anticardiolipin (29%) compared healthy controls [13%; age-adjusted odds ratio (OR): 3.09, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.30–7.34] recent (11%; OR: 4.00, CI: 0.84–19.02). The moderate positive IgG (12%) (4%) (0%; 4.45, 1.14–17.36). was not associated type, or aetiology. Conclusion:  presence is recurrent measurement may be useful evaluating outcome
