摘要: We analyzed the ratio of serum total testosterone (sTT) to prostate-specific antigen (PSA) as a predictor prostate cancer risk. One-hundred-four consecutive men with normal digital rectal examination and PSA level 2.5-10 ng/ml underwent transrectal ultrasonography-guided biopsy using 10-core scheme. The sTT was determined before procedure chemiluminescent assay, (sTT/PSA) calculated after transforming measurements from ng/dL ng/mL. overall detection rate 17.3%. median 332 ng/dl in 413 those without (p = 0.032). sTT/PSA these groups 0.55 0.74, respectively 0.035). receiver operator characteristic (ROC) method used evaluate properties ratio, predictors accuracy diagnosis, represented by area under curve (AUC), 0.739 (95% CI 0.640-0.823, p < 0.05). Optimizing sensitivity specificity ROC provided cutoff point 0.60, which corresponded 82% 62% specificity. When patients were divided into normal- low-sTT according value (300 ng/dl), probability detecting 3.3-fold higher hypogonadal compared eugonadal men. These results support use sTT-to-PSA for predicting risk increasing measurement.
