摘要: The purpose of this paper is to explore the link between national language policy and practice in Irish-medium schools,which are known Irish Gaelic as Gaelscoileanna. provides an overview state's since 1922to promote by using schools primary vehicle for implementation. Based on a recent study, describes various changes Gaelscoileanna movement over time, including students' linguistic profile, pupil teacher ratio, available teaching aids textbooks Irish, teachers' belief regarding potential impact revival efforts. Findings from study reveal mismatch educational supports necessary most effectively implement their curriculum. They also skepticism that can revival. This finding relevant given current directions being taken policy.
