摘要: When gel shift assays were performed with maize nuclear extract and a DNA fragment containing the cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV) 35S promoter, three DNA-protein complexes observed. Analyses extracts prepared from green leaves, etiolated stems roots showed that resulted existence of at least two factors. One them is presumably constitutive factor found in all tissues tested, another leaf-specific present both leaves. This seemed to be identical MNF1, previously identified as interacting promoter gene for phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase involved C4 photosynthesis. Deletion analysis revealed MNF1 binds sequence −281 −235 relative transcription start site CaMV promoter. MNF1-like protein was also tobacco extracts. The possibility participates positive trans-acting expression genes leaves discussed.
