摘要: Aims: To examine biomarkers of oxidative stress (oxs), and endothelin (ET)-1, in hypertensive patients with atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis (ARAS) to evaluate the effect percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTRA). Methods: Baseline measurements were made immediately before angiography suspected ARAS (significant ARAS, n = 83, non-RAS, 59) 20 healthy, matched controls. In analyses repeated 4 weeks after PTRA. All treated statins acetylsalicylic acid throughout. Results: At baseline there no significant differences between groups oxs, whereas high-sensitivity C-reactive protein blood leukocytes significantly elevated group versus both healthy controls non-RAS. Plasma levels ET-1 uric increased prior reduced compared PTRA had effects on inflammation or serum creatinine concentrations. Conclusions: treatment antihypertensive agents, showed inflammatory indices but increase oxs. intervention plasma acid. Copyright (C) 2011 S. Karger AG, Basel (Less)
