摘要: Nestin, an intermediate filament protein, is mainly expressed in neural progenitor/stem cells the central nervous system. Recently, we reported that nestin Purkinje patients with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD). In this study, examined a total of 19 CJD cerebella to analyze intensity and pattern immunoreactivity different pathological stages degeneration cerebellar cortex. The results showed were immunoreactive regardless severity degenerative Furthermore, noted several types immunoreactivity, indicated by diffuse fine, coarse, inclusion-like immunostainings within cell bodies as well dot-like staining outside bodies. contrast, on examination from non-CJD patients, 6 30 cases lesser extent. Thus, nestin-positive are more common than cerebella. Although mechanism expression not yet understood, suggest such being reactivated survive death.
