摘要: SUMMARY This study documents a pyloric gland type adenoma o f the gallbladder with prominent spindle cell meta plasia arising in 61 year old woman. A pedunculated polyp, 1.S x 1.0 cm, was histologically diagnosed as tubular adenoma. Most glandular structures showed positivity for monoclonal antibody M2 (2B5) which indicates differentiation to type. The component displayed no apparent epithelial but stained mostly positive pancytokeratin and cytokeratin (CK) 18, focally CK S + 6, CKs 7 19, whereas 8, 13, 20, non-epithelial markers could not be demonstrated. suggests that cells were immature differentiating towards squamous and/or cells. Even areas, nuclear atypia mild, proliferating MIB-1 (Ki-67) antigen infrequently seen. unique phenomenon, only three cases have been previously reported, is considered represent benign squamoid metaplasia.
