摘要: The present study was undertaken to investigate the role of phosphodiesterase type 4 (PDE4) enzymes in cryptorchidism-induced apoptosis germ cells. Regulation expression PDE4 studied abdominal and scrotal testes surgically induced cryptorchid rats for 10, 20, 30 days. In some cases orchidopexy performed after days cryptorchidism, were allowed recover an additional 50 Upon histological examination, marked degenerative changes epithelial lining seminiferous tubules within observed compared with contralateral control or age-matched sham-operated rats. These included degeneration spermatogonia, secondary spermatocytes, incomplete spermatogenesis, lack spermatozoa lumen. contrast, exhibited normal histology. Significant improvement regeneration spermatogonia recovery following orchidopexy. Immunocytochemical examination suggested presence PDE4A cells while PDE4B predominantly expressed on somatic Western blotting using subtype-selective antibodies showed two variants (a 109-kDa PDE4A8 a previously uncharacterized 88-kDa variant) (78-kDa PDE4B2 66-kDa bands. unilaterally animals, testis time-dependent decrease both variants. markedly increased fashion Animals corrected cryptorchidism aged-matched, controls. conclusion, this suggests that down-regulation may play important apoptotic activity
