摘要: Tail biting, resulting in outbreaks of tail damage pigs, is a multifactorial welfare and economic problem which usually partly prevented through docking. According to European Union legislation, docking not allowed on routine basis; thus there need for alternative preventive methods. One strategy the surveillance pigs' behaviour known preceding indicators damage, makes it possible predict outbreak prevent proper time. This review discusses existing literature behavioural changes observed prior outbreak. Behaviours found change an include increased activity level, performance enrichment object manipulation, changed proportion posture with more tails between legs. Monitoring these types behaviours also discussed purpose developing automatic warning system outbreaks, level showing promising results being monitored automatically. Encouraging have been so far development system; however, further investigation development, starting description temporal predictive relation outbreaks.
