摘要: The quality of groundwater in the coastal aquifer eastern Niger Delta has been assessed present study using Geostatistical techniques. range, standard deviation and variance dataset show that multi-chemical processes are controlling quality/facies their spatial distributions. overall WQI value was 285.20 this is an indication area poor quality. higher mean values copper, iron, lead, nitrate, TC, EC, COD, chromium, nickel zinc some contributors to deteriorating presence can be attributed both natural anthropogenic sources. Six Factors, accounting for 91.18% total were identified. Factors 1 (Conductivity, Cl - , TH, TSS, TDS, Na Mg), factor 2 (Ca, Fe, pH, NO3 K SO4 2- ), 3 (BOD, PO4 EC TC), 4 (Cu, F, Mn Zn), 5 (Cr, Pb Ni) 6 (Ar Hg) represent signatures saltwater intrusion, chemical weathering, leaching various human activities domiciled area. represents ions with dominant concentration therefore salinity while factors indicators interference. Piper diagram revealed water Calcium-Chloride type, suggesting a marine origin. usefulness methods interpreting hydrogeochemical data as well identifying categorizing pollutants demonstrated study.
