摘要: Abstract An apparatus has been designed and fabricated which will measure the thermal conductance of pressed contacts at liquid helium temperatures as a function applied force, with surface finish parameter. The is automated was used to from 1.5 6.5 K forces up 700 N for brass sample pairs having finishes 0.1 1.6 {ce:italic}μ{/ce:italic}m rms. experimental data were found fit simple power law where given by {ce:italic}k = αTn{/ce:italic}, {ce:italic}k{/ce:italic} conductance, {ce:italic}T{/ce:italic} absolute temperature, {ce:italic}α{/ce:italic} {ce:italic}n{/ce:italic} are empirically determined constants.
