摘要: Hydrophobic long-chain alkyl ethers of Sepha- dex have been synthesized and tested for use in liquid chro- matography. With columns prepared such polar solvents as methanol, reversed-phase systems are obtained where com- pounds separate order decreasing polarity. In non- heptane, straight-phase formed, separations occur increasing The retention volume a compound is determined mainly by its polarity, the type degree substitution Sephadex, nature solvent system. Examples given straight- waxes, fatty acids, glycerides, glycerol ethers, sterols, bile hormonal steroids. Sephadex derivatives simple to make, easy prepare, they can be used over long periods time. Liquid-gel chromatography on mild separation technique should useful complement other chromatographic methods.
