摘要: Purpose : The aim of this study was to demonstrate the role interleukin-10 (IL-10) gene polymorphism and its serum level in predicting response treatment patients with chronic hepatitis C virus. Patients methods This carried out on 35 Egyptian HCV (Hepatitis Virus) 15 age- sex-matched healthy subjects as control. They were divided follows: Group I: patients. subdivided according their combination therapy pegylated interferon alpha 2b ribavirin into: I (a): 21 responder (b): 14 non II: a control group. IL-10 assessed by ELISA (Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay) before, during after treatment. genotype analyzed using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length (PCR-RFLP). Results A significant higher detected compared reduction persistent decrease found SVR. Low pretreatment associated high response. High severity necroinflammation non  positive correlation between ALT. frequency 592 C/C group responder. No observed liver histopathology. Conclusion Serum is useful for may be marker assess monitor evolution damage. has no relation more frequent
