摘要: Nationally, there is a growing emphasis on experiential education and an interest in palliative care for health professionals. Hospice visits were added to the family medicine community rotation third-year medical students provide them with first-hand exposure hospice experience. Seven significant themes emerged from students' reflection papers: (1) value of supportive role team, (2) empathy, (3) distinction between acceptance resignation, (4) changing face hope, (5) understanding death as natural event, (6) quality caregiving, (7) physician caring dying. The implications discussed include home setting experiences effectiveness narrative assignments encouraging student reflection.
