摘要: Abstract 1. Average acoustically evoked responses (AAERs) were recorded in naterir hypothaalmus (AH) and vetnromedial hypothalamus (VMH) simultaneously from freely behaving rats which had been implanted with permanent semimicroelectrodes 6–8 days earlier. 2. Ifattention was distracted the stimulus. overall amplitude of AAER to that stimulus usulally fell, mainly AH: if on other hand, attention concentrated upon stimulus, teh became greater. 3. The neural recovery function obtained by paired click stimuli separated varying time intervals studied showed differences between AH VMH. 4. Low doses pentobarbital increased imrpoved recovery, both AG Higher attenuated diminished AAER. Differences sensitivity pentobarbiral found 5. role reticular formation, is known have a tonic inhibitory effect classical sensory pathway discussed. 6. afferetn acoustic projection polysynaptic, extending through midbrain formation. data indicated this adn VMH modified differently raises possibility projections are not same.
