摘要: Garlic components are known to modulate certain immune functions. However, mechanisms of their action not sufficiently elucidated. This study was, therefore, undertaken examine the effects aqueous and ethanolic extracts prepared from a garlic powder sample on proliferation rat spleen lymphocytes in culture. Cells were stimulated with combination phorbol myristate acetate (PMA) Ca ionophore (A23187) or R73 monoclonal antibody (mAb) directed alphabeta chain T cell receptor. It has been shown that both significantly lymphocytes. The effect correlated upregulation Interleukin 2 receptor alpha (IL-2R alpha) expression increase IL-2 production. Stimulation production by was higher cultures PMA/Ca than mAb. In contrast, IL-4 splenocytes triggered complete dependence lymphocyte mAb demonstrated using neutralising mAbs IL-2R IL-4. These results suggest potentiating vitro differs depending specific stimulators probably type responding cells.
