摘要: Premature brittle failures because of seismic actions strongly affect the behavior existing reinforced concrete (RC) structural systems. They commonly involve exterior beam-column joints structures designed without transverse reinforcement. This paper investigates unconfined that do not conform to current codes and effectiveness externally bonded fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs) as a strengthening technique. It presents an experimental program carried out on six full-scale RC corner under constant axial load cyclic loading in as-built FRP-strengthened configuration. After describing specimen design strategy test setup, performance is compared. Particular attention paid comparing capacity capacity, which can be predicted basis models available literature. Finally, discussion different FRP-strengthening layouts reported.
