摘要: Sixteen children (aged 3 to 12 years) participated in a month crossover study comparing bedtime with teatime insulin injections an endeavour reduce morning hyperglycaemia. Blood glucose values were lower at lunch and on the later injection, but higher midnight. There was no overall change glycosylated haemoglobin. Despite more frequent mild hypoglycaemic attacks, parents preferred convenience of injection. Analysis individual children's haemoglobin showed that those whose metabolic control improved injection younger went bed earlier, indicating this regimen may have place management diabetes mellitus.
