摘要: The activin receptor protein was isolated from the mouse embryonal carcinoma (EC) cell line P19 by three cycles of affinity chromatography on an A-immobilized column. purified had a specific and high for activins A, AB, B (Kd = 345 pM), but not transforming growth factor beta. identified sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis ligand blotting analysis as single 70 kDa. amino acid sequence first 18 NH2-terminal residues revealed that is member family. phosphorylated itself exogenous substrate proteins serine, threonine, tyrosine residues, indicating transmembrane serine/threonine/tyrosine kinase. These results suggest signal transduction employs novel pathway via new class cellular in EC cells.
