摘要: Summary Four types of immunoglobulin (Ig) have been identified in ducks: IgM, a secretory Ig resembling 7.8S IgG, and 5.7S IgG. Structurally antigenically the IgG resembles an F(ab')2 fragment When ducks mount serum antibody responses, sequence involvement is IgM ? Although levels increase, antigen‐binding Igs can be demonstrated, sera from repeatedly immunized commonly lack secondary activities such as agglutination, precipitation, complement fixation tissue sensitization. These deficiencies are most likely attributable to absence functionally important components predominant (5.7S IgG) and/or possibly unusual steric structure duck Igs.
