摘要: Prognostic tissue markers in melanoma Prognosis for patients diagnosed with cutaneous is currently based upon histopathological features alone, although tumours which are morphologically similar can behave differently. Numerous putative biomarkers have been identified an attempt to aid prognostication primary melanoma, using methods include immunhistochemistry, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), array comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) and gene expression arrays. Despite this wide body of research, no prognosis translated or close translation into clinical practice. In review selected prognostic evaluated the factors influencing successful biomarker translation, including phases development study design, explored highlight current gap between research translation.
