摘要: Abstract Background: Transport of macromolecules between the nucleus and cytoplasm eukaryotic cells is mediated by nuclear import export receptors. The receptors identified to date are members a family Ran GTPase-binding proteins whose founding member importin- β . Interaction these their cargo regulated GTP-bound form Ran. Export complexes disassemble on binding RanGTP receptor. Yeast Los1p with poorly defined role in tRNA production. Results: A human that distantly related (21% identity) has been characterized. protein shuttled interacts RanGTP-dependent manner. Injection into nuclei Xenopus oocytes resulted specific stimulation from relief competitive inhibition caused introduction saturating amounts tRNA. Conclusions: functional properties expected transport receptor mediates nucleus. We therefore name Exportin(tRNA).
