摘要: Inflammatory hepatocellular adenomas are benign liver tumours defined by the presence of inflammatory infiltrates and increased expression proteins in tumour hepatocytes. Here we show a marked activation interleukin (IL)-6 signalling pathway this type; sequencing candidate genes pinpointed response to somatic gain-of-function mutations IL6ST gene, which encodes co-receptor gp130. Indeed, 60% harbour small in-frame deletions that target binding site gp130 for IL-6, four different mutants cells activates signal transducer activator transcription 3 (STAT3) absence ligand. Furthermore, analysis carcinomas revealed rare alterations always accompanied beta-catenin-activating mutations, suggesting cooperative effect these pathways malignant conversion The recurrent human fully explains acute phase observed tumourous hepatocytes, suggests similar may occur other epithelial with STAT3 activation.
