摘要: Recent population-based studies have demonstrated the genetic heritability of rubella vaccine response and assessed that HLA system may explain about 20% inter-individual variance in humoral immune to this vaccine. Our earlier compared allelic associations with vaccine-specific antibodies between two smaller cohorts healthy Rochester, MN, children (346 396 subjects) after doses rubella-containing This study found specific alleles were consistently associated rubella-specific antibody titers (B*27:05, DPA1*02:01, DPB1*04:01 alleles). The current examined an independent larger cohort 1012 San Diego, CA, subjects (age 19–40 years) order replicate our previous findings Rochester subjects. Two comparable magnitudes observed B*27:05 (median NT50 48.9, p = 0.067; Diego 54.8, 0.047) 61.6, < 0.001; 70.8, 0.084) virus-neutralizing titers. Additional resulted consistent effects on IL-6 production both cohorts, but did not meet criteria for statistical significance. data suggest these play a role vaccine-induced immunity provide basis future mechanism(s) by which polymorphisms affect responses
