摘要: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA) is a fatal and insidious malignant disease for which clinicians' tools are restricted by the current limits in knowledge of how tumor stromal cells act during disease. Among PDA hallmarks, neural remodeling (NR) perineural invasion (PNI) drastically influence quality life patient survival. Indeed, NR PNI associated with neuropathic pain metastasis, respectively, both impact decisions therapeutic options. The aim this study was to determine clinical relevance peritumoral microenvironment, through pancreatitis-associated protein (PAP/REG3A) expression, on pancreatic cancer. First, we demonstrated that, PDA, PAP/REG3A produced inflamed acinar from microenvironment then enhances migratory invasive abilities cancer cells. More specifically, using ex vivo assays revealed that favors activation JAK/STAT signaling pathway Finally, analyzed level blood healthy donors or patients three independent cohorts. Patients high levels had overall shorter survival as well poor surgical outcomes reduced disease-free Our provides rationale biomarker improve prognosis. It also suggests targeting activity could limit cell aggressiveness PNI.
