摘要: Dropping out of higher education is a prevalent phenomenon in Germany—about every fourth college student does not graduate—that affects educational returns to considerable degree. Therefore, dropouts are topic major interest the stage NEPS. With NEPS data, it possible study from with large-scale, nationwide, representative data longitudinal perspective. In order better understand mechanisms dropout, provides researchers opportunity analyze role social and academic integration (Tinto 1975, 1993)—in addition rational choice-based measures—in dropout process. Despite prevalence concept Anglo-Saxon literature, only few attempts have been undertaken operationalize apply German context. Stage 7 tries close this gap by reassembling testing several instruments that well-established Germany can be considered adequately measure integration.
