摘要: Surface coating of various pharmaceutical nanocarriers with polyethylene glycol (PEGylation) is the most popular and elaborated method to prepare drug delivery systems capable prolonged circulation time in blood. Prolonged often required provide a sufficient for effective accumulation drug-loaded target organs or tissues. This chapter considers key properties PEG some other polymers, which can be used long-circulating nanocarriers, discusses important biological pharmacological consequences PEGylation circulation. Special attention paid preparation, properties, application PEGylated liposomes, clinically approved system. polymeric nanoparticles, iron oxide dendrimers, are also described. The combination longevity specific targeting ability (attachment both protecting polymer ligand surface nanocarriers) discussed as next step development systems.
