摘要: The origin of degenerative diseases the central nervous system lies in genetic and acquired disorders. Analysis clinical characteristics affecting specific neuronal systems may help us to understand their pathogenesis. stereotyped symptomatology characteristic most results from death pathways: pyramidal tract motor neurons amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, nigrostriatal dopamine Parkinson's disease, posterior columns spinal cord Friedreich's ataxia, etc. This suggests that these are sensitive pathological processes still unknown. Progression whether linear or not, is slow, but it more rapid than similar effects due ageing. indicates either environmental cause degeneration (if exists) continuously present a vital process has been once for all disrupted, perhaps at level genome, causing insufficient production essential proteins, accumulation eventually toxic metabolites. Symptoms generally appear during adulthood, i.e. after normal differentiation taken place, considerable number have already damaged. initiation precedes appearance first symptoms.
