摘要: Management of German roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) populations is a challenge for wildlife managers and foresters because population densities are difficult to estimate in forests forest regeneration can be negatively affected when density high. We describe model determine compatible with management goals, assess harvest rates necessary maintain desired densities. A geographic information system (GIS) was used habitat dynamics over time. Our interactively incorporates knowledge field biologists via graphical user interface (GUI). Calibration the damage maps allowed us evaluate dependence population. Incorporation local into temporally dynamic spatial models increases understanding improves management.
