摘要: Objectives  The aim of this study was to investigate the flavonoid composition Scutellaria immaculata and S. ramosissima (Lamiaceae) in-vitro biological activity their extracts flavonoids. Methods  S. immaculata (Si) (Sr) were analysed using LC-MS. Antimicrobial studied in vitro against a range bacteria fungi diffusion microdilution methods. Anti-trypanosomal cell proliferation inhibitory flavonoids assessed MTT. antioxidant evaluated DPPH* test. Key findings  LC-MS investigation Si Sr plants allowed identification, for first time, an additional 9 16 flavonoids, respectively. methanol, chloroform water from these six (scutellarin, chrysin, apigenin, apigenin-7-O-glucoside, cynaroside pinocembrine) exhibited significant inhibition growth HeLa, HepG-2 MCF-7 cells. extract showed potent cytotoxic effects with IC50 (drug concentration which resulted 50% reduction viability) values 9.25 ± 1.07 µg/ml, 12.83 ± 1.49 µg/ml 17.29 ± 1.27 µg/ml, highest anti-trypanosomal effect T. b. brucei shown by activity) 61 µg/ml. pure between 3 29 µm, as most active compound value 3.961 ± 0.133 µm. has antimicrobial Streptococcus pyogenes (minimum concentration, MIC = 0.03 mg/ml). Pinocembrine strong all except Escherichia coli yeasts. Water 5.62 ± 0.51 µg/ml 3.48 ± 0.02 µg/ml, Scutellarin exerted stronger than other flavonoids. Conclusions  This is reporting Sr. Especially anticancer activity. Cynaroside had highly selective cytotoxicity while showing only mild cancer
