摘要: We attempted to ascertain the incidence of systemic biphasic anaphylactic reactions in both outpatients and inpatients. Madigan Army Medical Center is a large teaching facility. The Allergy Clinic staff sees approximately 20,000 patients per year, an average 27,000 allergy immunotherapy injections are administered each year. During years 1988 1991 we collected data from total 35 who had experienced, during 30-minute waiting period clinic, symptoms signs consistent with anaphylaxis. A 44 were noted, only two (5%) involving pattern. All observed treated within clinic until resolved. None or presently using glucocorticosteroids time their reactions. Of 25 (57%) involved cutaneous manifestations anaphylaxis, three (7%) laryngeal/upper airway area, eight (18%) bronchospasm alone, rhinoconjunctivae, five (11%) more than one site type. experienced any cardiovascular compromise collapse after extract injections. 1986 1992 59 admitted medical ward intensive care unit diagnosis patients, four recurrent (biphasic) reaction without reexposure initial inciting agent. remaining 55 (93%) did not experience further anaphylaxis hospital admission treatment.
