摘要: ABSTRACTBiodiesel was developed from an unconventional feedstock, i.e. equivalent blend of castor bean and waste chicken oil through the alkaline-catalyzed transesterification with methanol. The process variables including alkaline catalyst concentration, methanol to molar ratio, reaction temperature, time, type were investigated. highest yield biodiesel (97.20 % ~ 96.98 w/w ester content) obtained under optimum conditions 0.75 oil, 8:1 60°C a duration 30 min. Properties produced satisfied those specified by ASTM standards. results thus indicated that suggested oils are suitable feedstock for production biodiesel. found follow pseudo first-order kinetics, activation energy be 8.85 KJ/mole.
