摘要: Abstract In this research work, fatty acid ethyl ester (biodiesel) was successfully developed from fish oil. The value of oil used is 1.23 mg KOH/g. As a result, transesterification with ethanol performed via one-step transesterification, namely alkaline-catalyzed using potassium hydroxide (KOH) as catalyst. influence variables including amount KOH, to molar ratio, reaction temperature, time and type the alkali catalyst on yield esters (FOEE) were investigated. dry washing method which activated carbon produced de-oiled waste purify crude esters. best FOEE (98.04% ∼ 97.11% w/w content) obtained at 0.75% wt. 9:1 70 °C temperature 60 min reaction. fuel properties complied limits prescribed in ASTM D6751 standards EN 14214, where applicable. viscosity found much lower than those reported for various feedstocks. followed first order kinetics activation energy be 14.45 kJ/mol.
