摘要: Several field isolates of fowlpoxvirus (FPV) from Burkina Faso, West Africa, were isolated and partly evaluated by molecular analysis. In addition, the in ovo antiviral activity against FPV a gall extract Guiera senegalensis was determined. Three viral obtained suspected fowlpox cases after passage embryonating chicken eggs their poxviral identity confirmed electron microscopy. All found to be pathogenic for chicks all grew well cell culture. Polymerase chain reaction sequencing amplicons revealed sequences identical with those other strains.
