摘要: Bacterial surface polysaccharides fulfill a number of important roles in cell-cell interactions, survival natural environments, and formation biofilms. Consequently, the mechanisms involved regulation extracellular are predicted to have significant impact on microbial adaptation. Strains ofEscherichia coli, Klebsiella spp, andErwinia spp produce which share structural features. There also similarities organization genes required for synthesis these cell polymers and, some cases, mechanism may be related. Despite diverse habitats bacteria, systems regulate expression their appear components mechanisms. Understanding regulatory processes lead novel therapeutic approaches pathogens, or control unwanted biofilm industrial settings.
