摘要: We investigated the validity of spotlighting techniques for surveying and monitoring desert mammal populations by determining effect repeating spotlight transects on relative precision density estimates. Precision was modelled calculating cumulative mean associated coefficient variation. The moonlight at time also investigated. results show that is a valid technique some species, however number required to obtain pre-defined adequate levels species-dependent. Reasons these findings are discussed recommendations future surveys given.
