摘要: Purpose: To compare early versus late enhancement in two glioblastoma models characterized by different infiltrative/ edematous patterns. Materials and Methods: Three weeks after inoculation into nude mice of U87MG U251 cells, T1-weighted images were acquired (10.5 min), intermediate (21 min) (30.5 a bolus injection Gd-DTPA at 300 μ mol/kg dosage. EARLYTH LATETH the corresponding volumes with an higher than threshold TH, defined mean (μ) standard deviation (σ) on contralateral healthy area. ADDTH was enhancing volume found but not EARLY TH. T2 imaging both tumors performed, mapping U251. Results: In all tumors, significantly for TH ranging from μ+σ to μ+5σ. The ADDTH/EARLYTH ratio when compared. some observed outside regularly demarcated T2-hyperintense irregularly demarcated, large portion ADD μ+3σ had normal values. At histology, showed infiltrative pattern U87MG. Conclusion: these models, increase over time did depend infiltrative/edematous patterns closely related edema.
