摘要: The measurement of the Stark effect near‐ultraviolet absorption spectrum formaldehyde vapor is described. magnitude electric dipole moment 1A2 (nπ*) state 1.56±0.07 D and its direction same as that ground‐state moment. decrease on excitation (0.78 D) much smaller than predicted from a naive molecular orbital model, but in good agreement with value (0.66 corresponding to previously calculated orbitals Foster Boys.
