Cancer education for medical students in developing countries: where do we stand and how to improve?

摘要: Abstract Background This article is a review of the literature regarding state oncology education for medical students in developing countries, and possible solutions to problems at hand. Methods Ovid MEDLINE, PubMed, ERIC, The Cochrane CENTRAL Register Controlled Trials (CENTRAL) Google Scholar were searched using terms oncology, undergraduate, cancer, teaching. Results search resulted 40 relevant articles total. Ten showed that there lack adequate knowledge scientific, clinical psychological aspects palliative care amongst physicians countries. Eight describe relevance usefulness summer schools, workshops trainings. rest them discuss methods addressing issue, most important which inclusion rotation undergraduate syllabus. Conclusion Graduated are long way from reaching standard skills required oncology. Thus, pressing need reform curricula countries order increase cancer awareness better graduated future physicians.
