摘要: Abstract In recent years, the assessment of ecosystem services (ES) supply has been based on use Land Use/Land Cover (LULC) data as proxies for spatial representation ecosystems. Nevertheless, some shortcomings this method, such uncertainties derived from generalization types and assumptions invariance across scales, indicate need new approaches. Such approaches could be aimed at improving knowledge relationships between landscape structure characteristics ES patterns. study, we propose an integrative approach that involves generation analysis continuous maps representing five potentially related to amount biomass. Five remote sensing images Northwestern Iberian Peninsula, obtained with Landsat-5 TM, were used generate a proxy net primary production by combining normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) each image calculate ΣNDVI act potential indicator services. This information was combined three variables – terrain slope, population density occurrence protected areas produce models eventually series maps. Food, materials energy provision showed clustered pattern, high values in flat zones densities. contrast, mass flow climate regulation more widely distributed throughout study area. The service patterns analyzed different scales two methods: lacunarity four term local quadrat variance (4TLQV) analysis. These methods revealed differences pattern: useful detection scale thresholds level, whereas 4TLQV sensitive larger levels. Thus, yielded higher windows sizes, particularly provisioning results demonstrated suitability proposed spatially explicit modeling services, avoiding uncertainty other assessments those LULC data, exploratory point view.
