摘要: Working memory is a process for short-term active maintenance of information. Behavioral neurophysiological studies in monkeys have demonstrated that the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC) key cortical region working memory. The medial (mPFC) rats area similar to dlPFC terms anatomical connections, and also required behavioral performance on working-memory tasks. However, it still controversial regarding whether how mPFC neurons encode In present study, we trained two-choice spatial delayed alternation task Y maze, typical rodents, investigated neuronal activities when performed task. Our results show that, (1) inactivation severely impaired task, consistent with previous showing importance tasks; (2) 93.7% cells (449 479) exhibited changes spiking frequency were temporally locked events, some which, including delay-related cells, tuned by information; (3) differential delay individual appeared transiently sequentially along delay, especially during early phase delay; (4) showed no change discharge but synchronization firing delay. suggest are involved encoding memory, via increasing or synchronization.
