摘要: Treatment of hepatic fibrosis by simple and inexpensive therapies is a new challenge for the near future. Hepatic which may lead to cirrhosis, indeed associated with most chronic liver diseases affects millions people. During last decade, major breakthroughs have been accomplished in field including discovery key components extracellular matrix, cellular origin matrix proteins, molecular mechanisms involved their synthesis degradation, role cytokines fibrogenesis. Most this progress came from development techniques vitro model systems proven useful investigating bases From basic research clinical application, two fields are now actively explored: search reliable serum markers fibrogenesis drugs that prevent cirrhosis. A recent approach treat use cytokines, e.g. interferons, modulate synthesis.
