摘要: We are currently in an era of rapidly expanding knowledge about the genetic landscape and architectural blueprints various cancers. These discoveries have led to a new taxonomy malignant diseases based upon clinically relevant molecular alterations addition histology or tissue origin. The molecularly classification holds promise rational rather than empiric approaches for treatment cancer patients. However, accelerated pace discovery number targeted anti-cancer therapies present significant challenge healthcare practitioners remain informed up-to-date on how apply cutting-edge into daily clinical practice. In this Perspective, we use lung as paradigm discuss challenges related translating genomic information clinic, one approach took at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center address these challenges.
