摘要: In the present study, we wished to demonstrate ability of surface gametocyte antigens induce protective immunity against Eimeria maxima infections in chickens. order accomplish this goal, employed maternal immunization as a means providing large amounts specific antibodies offspring chicks. Upon challenge with sporulated E. oocysts, chicks from hens immunized affinity-purified showed greatly reduced oocyst production compared sham-immunized hens. These results suggest that can be used provide transmission-blocking infections.
