摘要: The purpose of this chapter is to review the application gene therapy approaches, with an emphasis on use cytokine genes, induction a cell-mediated immune response useful in treatment brain tumors. This begins general issues specific immunologic environment central nervous system (CNS) and immunotherapy tumors, order place subsequent discussions enlightened context allow for critical appraisal data presented second part chapter. A thorough discussion animal models commonly used experimental neuro-oncology given special emphasis, because misuse such may have more profound influence results from gene-based than it does other areas neurooncology. Failure evaluate experiments appropriateness model produce misleading conclusions that could delay rational development efficacious immunotherapeutic strategies. In chapter, recent literature dealing transfer induce or enhance direct cytotoxic effect, against reviewed evaluated. Finally, some questions remain problems need be solved are introduced as stimulant further work area.
