摘要: MMAC/PTEN, a tumor suppressor gene located on chromosome 10q, has recently been shown to act as phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-triphosphate phosphatase and modulate cell growth apoptosis. Somatic mutations of MMAC/PTEN have reported in number human cancers, especially glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), although the identified (∼10–35%) is significantly lower than frequency LOH affecting locus specimens (∼75–95%).
