摘要: Both the standard mercury sphygmomanometer and random-zero have been used in epidemiological studies clinical trials. Problems arise comparing since, addition to other methodological differences, readings obtained with found be lower than those sphygmomanometer. In present study, blood pressures were measured 66 subjects examine comparability of findings two instruments. Trained observers simultaneously using a double-headed stethoscope one cuff connected sphygmomanometers. Use instrument was randomly assigned for each pressure measurement; observer unaware other's reading. Readings sphygmomanometer; mean difference ranged from 2.5 3.3 mm Hg systolic 1.9 2.7 diastolic pressure. Digit distributions recorded by not significantly different either or Intraindividual variation greater These data do indicate that is clearly superior other, although where seeks reduce bias multiple per person, may more appropriate instrument. Critical use are careful training, standardization, certification, periodic recertification observers.
