摘要: The amelioration of secondary neurological damage is among the most important therapeutic goals for patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Secondary injury ipsilateral substantia nigra (SN) and pyramidal tract (PY) common after cerebral stroke. Such has been characterized previously by anatomical or diffusion MRI, but not in a comprehensive manner, knowledge regarding contralateral changes relatively poor. This study examined longitudinally both SN PY following experimental ICH tensor imaging (DTI) histology. was induced 14 Sprague-Dawley rats infusion collagenase into right striatum. Four-shot, spin-echo, echo-planar DTI performed at 7 T b value 1000 s/mm2 30 gradient directions 3.5 h days 1, 3, 7, 14, 42 120 ICH. Fractional anisotropy (FA), mean diffusivity (MD), axial (λ//) radial (λ┴) were measured accordingly. Two to three sacrificed showed an increase λ// perivascular enlargement during first 3 days increases FA, λ//, λ┴ MD day dramatic decreases 3 neuronal degeneration neuropil vacuolation, subsequent gradual normalization. 1. early then late λ┴, continuously decreasing FA progressive axonal loss demyelination. In summary, revealed bilateral evolution parameters correlated histological findings. PY, indicated evolving complex pathological processes underlying monotonic decrease.
