摘要: While the presence of stromal fibroblasts within malignant tumors was established many decades ago, it is only recently that their role in tumorigenesis has begun to unravel. Probably most important finding this line research that, contrary conventional notion views them as a static entity, progress parallel with cancer cells, interacting continuously and affecting kinetic profile morphology tumor. However, while tumor highly dependent on fibroblast during early stages disease development, likely abolishes dependency at later stages. The aim article outline evidence implying differential cells against fibroblasts, discuss implication management disease, especially view evolving concept stroma-targeting anticancer therapies.
